Hi, I’m Breda Stewart and welcome to my website. My practice as a Life, Workplace and Career Coach combines my many passions from a young age – personal growth and development, pursuing your work and career passions, and not forgetting the life bit – which many of us do!
I have worked for over 20 years in the social inclusion and local development sector, delivering supports and developing projects for people experiencing a wide range of challenges including poverty, unemployment, low education and mental health. I have experience both as an employee and as a manager, leading teams and working with agencies and organizations.
During this
time, I studied for a Degree in Community and Family Studies, a Diploma in
Career Guidance and Counselling, and Diplomas in Life, Business and Career
Coaching. I also gained tremendous insight and understanding of the issues
people face and of the importance of aligning our lives and work with our core
needs and values.
Reflecting this
focus, I bring further skills and knowledge to my work today, continuing
professional development training in Neuro Linguistic Programming (NLP),
Reality Therapy / Choice Theory, Stress Control, Mental Health First Aid, Wellness Recovery Action Planning (WRAP Level 1) and Mindfulness.
However,
without doubt, the biggest learning curve in my life was coping with the
aftermath of a tragic accident that impacted hugely on my immediate and
extended family. These experiences truly open your eyes, make you sit back and
re-assess what is important to you and what you really want out of each
day.
They teach you
that life doesn’t always go according to plan, that despite your best efforts you
cannot control everything… but you can certainly choose how you respond in each
moment and to each situation. You also get to choose what to do with the
learning that inevitably comes from difficult times.
That’s my
story. You will have yours. I hope I can help you gain the clarity and
motivation you need to make your life the best it can be.
